Ness Wadia College of Commerce

           Dr. M. M. Gandhi, [age: 65, holding M.Com., B. Ed., LL. B., Ph.D. degrees of University of Pune], is a senior well-known academician having rich experience of about 40 years of teaching and 25 years of research in the faculties of Commerce and Management.  He is an Ex-Wadian.  He worked as a Lecturer in Commerce & Accountancy, as also an NCC Coy Commander [Asso. NCC Officer] in Ness Wadia College of Commerce, Pune from 20-06-1978 to 10-12-1993.  He left this College to join T.C College as ‘Principal’ w.e.f. 11-12-1993.  When left this College on 10-12-1993, his last academic designation was Sr. Lecturer in Selection Grade and last rank in NCC was ‘Captain’.

           He worked as ‘Principal’ of highly reputed large-scale senior colleges of Arts, Commerce and Science since December 1993, [15 years in T. C. College, at Baramati- Dist. Pune, and 8.5 years in Jaysingpur College at Jaysingpur-Dist. Kolhapur].  Under his apt and able leadership, the Colleges, under his command, have prospered with several [more than 20], new courses most of which are ‘Skill / Career Oriented.  He brought several Grants under various schemes, almost of Rs. 13.6 Crores from UGC and other Funding agencies. The last College, i.e. Jaysingpur College, has been accredited in the 2nd Recycle with most coveted and prestigious ‘A Grade’ by NAAC, Bangalore.  He was often invited to seek advice on academic, administrative and legal matters by many Govt. offices and academic institutions.

           Presently, he is an Executive Trustee of Abhijat Education Society, Karvenagar, Pune, since October 2016. He has authored more than 10 Books and 125 research papers in the fields of Commerce, Economics, Banking, Finance, Management, and Accountancy; and also, on various issues in Higher Education on vivid subjects.  Out of 10 Books his one book [Monograph] titled: “Value Orientation in Higher Education: Challenges and Role of Universities and Colleges: Retrospect and Future Options” has been published in October, 2014, by a well-known International Publisher, viz., LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing: Omni Scriptum GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, bearing ISBN 978-3-659-61970-0, Project-ID: 111036, and Retail Price : € 23.90 (EURO), i.e. at Rs. 1700/- approx.]. 


           Out of 125 research papers, 07 papers have been published in ‘University News’: which is India’s most coveted Quarterly Journal of Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Most of the Journals, in which his papers have been published, have accrued high impact factors, of which his Ten papers have got ‘Impact Factor’ which is >5 (more than five).  His present ‘Google Scholar Citation Index is: 45, h-index is: 4 and i10 Index is: 1. His more than 20 papers have been published by the International Journals having ISSN, most of which are indexed at Scopus, DOAJ, BASE-Germany, Ulrich's - USA, DRJI, Open J-Gate, Ebesco Host, ProQuest,  Cabell`s Directory, NASA, Crossref, arxiv.org, Cabell’s Directories, Index: Copernicus, Ulrichsweb:Global Serials Directory, Ebsco Host, Google Scholar, Aned, Jour Informatics, and Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek EZB – Germany, etc..
 
           He has presented 10 research papers in 8 International Conferences held abroad, in Manchester (U.K., July 1999), Melbourne (Australia, June 2000: 02 Papers), New York (USA, June 2014), Paris (France, August, 2014: 02 Papers), Munich (Germany, August, 2014),  Oxford Univ. (U.K., Sept. 2014), London (U.K., August, 2015), and Toronto (Canada, Sept., 2015). Of these 10 papers, three papers have been selected as best papers, and awarded, in the International Conferences held abroad, with ‘Outstanding Featured Book (Manchester-UK Conference-1999)’, ‘Best Presentation Award (Paris-France Conference-2014)’, and ‘Best Paper Award (Toronto-Canada- Conference-2015)’.  Besides his paper-presentations, he also chaired five sessions in these international conferences, viz., One Session in New York (USA, June 2014), One Session in Paris (France, August 2014: 02 Papers), One Session in Oxford Univ. (U.K., Sept. 2014), One Session in London (U.K., August 2015). 

            Besides these international conferences, he has also participated in more than 20 International Conferences held in India, more than 30 National and about 50 State / University level conferences and presented more than 100 papers therein. 

           He is a recipient of several awards and commendations on several occasions
